Dieses Problem scheint öfter aufzutauchen in Verbindung mit jenem oder ähnlichen NForce-Boards. Soll angeblich oft mit dem Treiber 8.43 auftreten.
Check the Type of the value with the Name „Name“ under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\<GUID>\Connection] (where <GUID> appears to be some variable, unique ID for the connection). If the Type is anything other than REG_SZ (for example, if it shows as a hex number such as 0xab4324), or if the data displays as a series of bytes, the connection information would seem to be corrupted.Again, you probably will want to make sure you have a backup of the information, just to be safe.

Das habe ich aus dem SysInternals-Forum, man sollte dankbar sein, dass es Jemand rausgefunden hat 
UND : kein LAN-Zugriff, obwohl keine Probleme zu sehen sind
Oh Wunder, die Lösung hat mich mehrere Stunden gekostet : Windows runterfahren und für ne Minute den Stecker ziehen.
Scheinbar ist da die Masse auf dem LAN-Kabel krumm und das bringt den Marvell-Chip ausm Takt.
